Project Overview:
The domestic wastewater treatment project of Xihu Service Area on Hangzhou Ring Expressway. The wastewater treated by this project is domestic sewage. The designed water volume is 400m³/d × 2. After the sewage is treated, the effluent quality meets the standard of "Urban Wastewater Recycled Utilization - Water Quality for Urban Miscellaneous Uses" (GB/T18920-2002), and the treated effluent is used for greening irrigation and toilet flushing. If the water volume is insufficient for use as reclaimed water, tap water can be supplemented. If the water volume is excessive, it can be directly discharged into the river.
Project Demonstration Significance:
To welcome the Asian Games, the Xihu Service Area on Hangzhou Ring Expressway underwent overall renovation to create the first five-star highway service area in China. The wastewater treatment project of this project was constructed by Yinjiang Environmental Protection.
The domestic wastewater in highway service areas has high concentration, large fluctuations in water quality and quantity, and strong biodegradability. The main pollutants are suspended solids, hydrocarbons, proteins, animal and plant oils, nitrogen and phosphorus compounds, surfactants, microorganisms and inorganic salt substances, etc. With the improvement of social environmental awareness, the construction units have increasingly higher requirements for wastewater treatment facilities in highway service areas.
The Yinjiang Environmental Protection KtIC integrated wastewater treatment equipment is specifically designed for wastewater treatment in highway service areas. Its main features are that the wastewater treatment facilities have a small占地面積, low investment, and the treated water quality can be used for greening irrigation and toilet flushing, reducing secondary pollution. The operation is stable, easy to operate and maintain.

After the domestic sewage in this service area is treated, the effluent quality reaches the standard of "Urban Sewage Recycled Utilization - Quality Standards for Urban Miscellaneous Water Use" (GB/T18920-2002) stably.
Our independently developed KtIC integrated wastewater treatment equipment adopts a multi-level MBBR & SBBR combined process, combined with advanced efficient oxygenation devices, efficient fluidization mass transfer systems and homogeneous water distribution systems. Through cultivating mixed facultative bacteria attached to nano-biological carriers with a specific surface area of over 800 m²/m³, an ecosystem is formed. The efficient bacteria mainly consist of Gram-positive spore-forming bacteria (Bacillussubtilhls), photosynthetic bacteria, nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, etc., which can efficiently degrade pollutants such as total nitrogen, COD and ammonia nitrogen in sewage/wastewater. It has the advantages of high efficiency, shock resistance, simple construction and small land occupation. Through the Internet of Things gateway, data is sent back in real time through mobile apps or other terminal devices, allowing real-time monitoring and adjustment of the equipment's operating status. The maintenance and management of the equipment become more convenient without the need for dedicated personnel on duty, solving the problem of long-term poor effluent quality of sewage treatment facilities in highway service areas and the difficulties in operation and maintenance. It has broad application prospects in expressway service area, rural domestic sewage treatment, small-scale domestic sewage or similar sewage treatment fields.
(2) Social Benefits:
The biochemical section and sludge tank adopt a closed structure, significantly reducing the impact of odors on the environment;
Low-noise fans and pumps are used; measures such as sound insulation and noise reduction are taken in the equipment room to reduce the impact of noise on the surrounding environment.
(3) Ecological Benefits:
After the completion of this project, the daily sewage treatment capacity reaches 400 m³/d × 2 sides, with an annual reduction of 116.8 tons of COD, 11.68 tons of ammonia nitrogen, 11.68 tons of total nitrogen, 1.6 tons of total phosphorus, greatly reducing the impact on the local water environment, improving the surrounding natural environment, and enhancing the environmental awareness of surrounding residents.

(2) Technical Process/Equipment Principle: The KtIC integrated sewage treatment equipment adopts a multi-stage MBBR & SBBR combined process. It combines advanced efficient oxygenation devices, efficient fluidization mass transfer systems, and uniform water distribution systems from both domestic and international sources. Through cultivating mixed facultative bacteria attached to nano-biological carriers with a specific surface area exceeding 800 m²/m³, an ecosystem is formed. It mainly consists of Gram-positive spore-forming bacteria (Bacillussubtilis) as the main component, supplemented by photosynthetic bacteria, nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, etc. The efficient bacteria can efficiently degrade pollutants such as total nitrogen, COD, and ammonia nitrogen in sewage/wastewater. It has technical advantages such as high efficiency, shock resistance, simple construction, and small land occupation.
The specific surface area of the nano-biological carriers in the KtIC-O integrated wastewater treatment equipment is 800 m²/m³. Through the attached mixed diverse bacterial populations, carbonation and nitrification reactions are formed, thereby removing pollutants such as BOD5, COD and NH3-N from the water body.
The specific surface area of the nano-biological carriers in the KtIC-A type integrated wastewater treatment equipment is 1000 m²/m³. By attaching a population of superior anaerobic and facultative bacteria over several hundred times that of traditional processes, this equipment has significant advantages in pollutant treatment efficiency, carbon source utilization rate, and nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiency compared to traditional activated sludge methods. This enables efficient decomposition of BOD5 and COD, and efficient removal of TN and TP.
The KtIC integrated wastewater treatment equipment can effectively solve the discharge problem of urban sewage and significantly reduce the one-time construction and daily operation and maintenance costs! The KtIC integrated wastewater treatment equipment is based on the KIC bamboo fiber ecological filler contact oxidation biochemical wastewater treatment process developed using advanced biotechnology technology. The wastewater is pumped into the integrated box for rapid biochemical reaction, with high removal efficiency, good effluent quality, and direct reuse possibility. The effluent meets the standards of Grade A or above.
